The Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) endeavours to make the "www.ptb.de" system accessible in accordance with the national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

This declaration on accessibility (as of 01 July 2026) applies to the currently accessible version of this website (www.ptb.de).

The accessibility of www.ptb.de was already considered during development. Colour contrasts are selected in such a way that the contrast values required by the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) are achieved. We also ensure that all content on the site can be navigated using the keyboard in combination with a screen reader. Despite extensive planning, not all of the system's content is completely accessible. An improvement is planned or in progress in all areas where this is technically and content-wise possible.
